Patch version 1.0.1 notes

After several maintenance builds, version 1.0.1 of Master of Cladia is here with a host of gameplay and quality-of-life improvements!

This update introduces major features such as the appearance of the "Alchemist" (the unit that represents the player), event grouping, a more user-friendly and informative incubator interface, and much more!

Balance Adjustments

Spells:

  • Gofio Brew:

    • Concentration: 40 → 30

    • Fatigue duration now lasts 1 turn.

  • Relocation Orders:

    • Now, relocating causes all progress in incubators to be lost.

Perks:

  • Immortal:

    • Time in limbo: 1 turn → [2–6] turns

    • No longer grants regeneration during combat

    • No longer fully restores health after combat

  • Regenerate:

    • Healing per round: 1 → 5

  • Stud:

    • Reworked functionality:

      • Chance to obtain dragon eggs: 30% (stackable)

      • Male dragons contribute up to 30% (only the first resting male dragon in the lair is considered)

      • Female dragons can add an additional 30%

      • Thus, max egg drop rate is 60% if both dragons have the perk

      • A roll is performed for each resting female in the lair

Combat:

  • Magic Dodge:

    • The maximum magic dodge rate a unit can have is now 55%


Application Changes

Relocation Orders:

  • A warning is now shown indicating the player will lose all incubator progress upon relocation.

Player List:

  • The current player is now shown in their actual ranking position, instead of always being listed first.

Unit Portraits:

  • Dragon portraits now always display the correct age of the unit.

  • New portraits have been added.

Combat Replay:

  • New animations:

    • "Unit gains experience"

    • "Unit gains heroic perk"

    • "Unit dodges magically"

Incubator:

  • The details panel has been significantly reduced in size

  • The panel now moves according to the selected incubator

  • Buttons now indicate which window is currently active

  • The panel remembers which window was last open before closing

  • The cast spell window has returned

  • Egg stats are now more detailed and use clearer terminology (see: Incubator Changes for more info)

Perk Display:

  • Generic stat-changing perks now correctly show their source:

    • For players: shows the associated event or spell

    • For units: shows associated spells

    • For populations: shows associated spells

Dragon Cave:

  • Cave size reduced to allow displaying all dragons simultaneously

Tower:

  • Reduced construction interface size

  • Reduced HUD size for each built structure

Perks:

  • Many perks have been resized significantly for better readability

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that incorrectly triggered the warning "The target is out of range of your power" in the following situations:

    • Moving a dragon to a region the player is also relocating to (only incorrect if the player moves before the dragon)

    • Moving a dragon from another region to the player's capital

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to exceed construction limits in lairs outside the capital

  • Fixed a bug where the "Building under construction" animation would not display after exiting the tower scene

  • Fixed an issue preventing certain texts in the tower scene from updating correctly when the scene was loaded

  • Fixed a bug that allowed garrisons of a population at war to duplicate and remain on the enemy population’s position after a joint attack with a player

  • Fixed a bug where the spellbook would not reset the legendary spell filter correctly

  • Fixed a bug where the spellbook did not show the legendary spell filter alongside the target filter

  • Fixed a bug where non-stackable spells could stack

  • Fixed event issues related to killing Kalendulas

  • Fixed an issue that prevented unit descriptions from displaying properly

  • Fixed bugs that stopped the spells Mists and Swamps from executing correctly

  • Fixed an issue where the “Rescue Princess” event could persist even after one of the associated populations was destroyed

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the synchronized group arrival time from displaying correctly on the regional map interface

  • Fixed a bug where dead units could gain heroic perks

  • Fixed a bug where non-dragon special units could gain heroic perks

  • Fixed a bug where players could view unexplored regions or those without a lair by clicking "View Lair" in the player list

  • Fixed an issue in the incubator details panel where mutation and brilliance values were not displayed correctly in certain situations

  • Fixed a bug where the "Alchemy Results" event could appear twice in the event list

  • Fixed a bug preventing the combat replay from showing in case of a draw

  • Fixed a bug where the build button in the tower scene didn’t function under certain circumstances

  • Fixed a bug where the "Purification" spell could remove any perk from the target unit

  • Fixed a bug allowing healing abilities to affect dead units

  • Fixed a bug causing life-steal effects to trigger twice per action

  • Fixed a bug where the “Discovered Lairs” event, generated by A Thousand Eyes or Supreme Clairvoyance spells, displayed the full list of lairs instead of only those discovered

  • Fixed a bug where the "Unit Deserts" event didn’t show the affected unit
